Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to perform excavation, grading, pipe work, and drainage projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the excavation industry, with a proven track record of proficiency in operating heavy equipment and completing projects to specifications.
Responsibilities:
● Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, and
loaders in a safe and efficient manner.
● Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and grading operations according to project
plans and specifications.
● Install and repair underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drain pipes.
● Construct and maintain drainage systems, including ditches, swales, and culverts.
● Perform precise grading and contouring for site preparation and landscaping projects.
● Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance.
● Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
● Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
● Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the excavation
industry.
● Proven experience in excavation, pipe work, drainage solutions, and grading.
● Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy equipment.
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
● Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
● Valid driver's license.
● CDL
● OSHA certifications a plus.
● Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
● Must be reliable and punctual.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
