Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to blueprints and specifications. Tig Welding and soldering is also a plus. This is a full-time position located in Chattanooga.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process
- Set up and operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and stick welders
- Fabricate metal components using various tools and machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and pipe threading equipment
- Perform welding tasks such as tack welding, soldering, and brazing
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, stick welding
- Familiarity with operating machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and pipe threading equipment
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Valid forklift certification is a plus
