Eligibility and Location Requirements
This position requires U.S. citizenship and is located onsite in Saline, Michigan. Relocation assistance may be available in accordance with Oracle's relocation policies.
Key Responsibilities
Own electrical plant readiness, including preventive maintenance, testing, repairs, corrective work, outage coordination, and maintenance backlog management.
Manage Facilities Technicians, contractors, and service vendors, ensuring safety, quality, procedural discipline, and SLA performance.
Oversee troubleshooting and restoration for electrical faults, equipment degradation, abnormal conditions, and operational incidents.
Track and improve KPIs such as equipment availability, backlog health, incident trends, MTTR, maintenance completion, and corrective action closure.
Partner with engineering, commissioning, deployment, reliability, and site leadership teams on upgrades, lifecycle replacements, new capacity turn-up, and system handoff.
Lead or support root cause analysis for electrical events and ensure corrective actions are documented, implemented, verified, and sustained.
Maintain accurate, audit-ready records including procedures, service reports, one-lines, test results, and CMMS data.
Champion electrical safety, including NFPA 70E, LOTO, PPE, contractor compliance, and switching discipline.
Support the Site Operations Director with status reporting, operational risk visibility, staffing readiness, and improvement initiatives for the electrical plant.
5–8 years of experience in electrical maintenance, service execution, or plant operations in data centers or other mission-critical environments such as utilities, manufacturing, healthcare, telecom, or industrial facilities.
Strong knowledge of switchgear, UPS systems, batteries, generators, transfer equipment, PDUs, grounding, and power distribution systems.
Experience managing maintenance programs, outages, vendor execution, and incident response in live operational environments.
Preferred Skills / Certifications
Familiarity with predictive maintenance, electrical testing practices, switching procedures, and incident review processes.
OEM or manufacturer training on UPS systems, switchgear, generators, breakers, or protective systems preferred.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
This is a mission-critical onsite role supporting 24/7 operations where continuous uptime is essential; as such, regular attendance, schedule flexibility, and response readiness are required. To perform these duties, you must be able to frequently walk, bend, kneel, crouch, push/pull objects, and climb stairs. You may be required to lift or move up to 39 pounds independently and participate in group lifts for loads 40 pounds or greater. You must also be capable of maintaining balance while working from ladders or elevated platforms. These tasks are performed in an industrial environment and must be executed safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, to maintain the continuous health of facility infrastructure.
