Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers about our products, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the retail environment. Previous retail experience, especially in grocery or similar settings, is preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus to serve a diverse clientele. The Budtender will play a key role in promoting responsible product use and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through product demos and consultations
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
- Ensure the retail space is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Handle phone inquiries professionally using proper phone etiquette
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items
- Support team members with supervising experience when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or similar customer-facing roles
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Experience in upselling, merchandising, stocking, and cashiering processes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash handling accurately and responsibly
- Knowledge of product demos and sales techniques to enhance customer engagement
- Supervising experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally
