As a Clinical Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting our surgeons and caring for patients throughout their surgical experience.
Responsibilities include:
· Prepare operatories, surgical instruments, and treatment rooms for daily procedures
· Welcome and room patients while obtaining medical histories and vital signs
· Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures
· Take panoramic, CBCT, and digital images
· Monitor and care for patients during recovery
· Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
· Complete post-operative follow-up calls
· Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
· Maintain organized and fully stocked treatment rooms
· Participate in the office on-call rotation
· Work collaboratively with surgeons and teammates to provide outstanding patient care
These responsibilities encompass a comprehensive range of tasks aimed at delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the oral surgery practice.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- Preferred knowledge of oral and maxillofacial terminology and anatomy.
- Preferred experience in medical or dental assisting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records is preferred.
- BLS certification must be obtained within six months of the hire date.
- Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination acquisition within two years of the hire date.
- Excellent verbal and face-to-face communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Participation in an on-call rotation.
