The VFM Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are conducted in a safe, professional and timely manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Delivery Assistant
Duties/Responsibilities:
Visually inspecting all outbound shipments for damage and report any damage to the QC team
Load merchandise onto truck in a manner that will not cause damage
Fill out paperwork including daily truck check sheet
Communicate with customers in a professional manner making every effort to ensure customer satisfaction
Use the tools provided to avoid causing damage to the customer’s home
Repair and touch up product when needed
Ensure that the customer receives all the product that they are expecting
Ensure the truck cab and box are maintained and kept orderly
Follow the VFM perfect delivery guidelines
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent active listening skills
Knowledge of the merchandise sold
Excellent attention to detail
Valid driver’s license
Excellent driving record
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous delivery experience preferred
On-the-job training provided
Must be able to pass a mandatory background check and pre-screening drug test
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 125 lbs pounds frequently and over 150 lbs occasionally
Job Type: Full-time; Virginia Furniture Market is open on weekends and holidays, so you must be available for both.
