American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

Works in a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit within a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes cardiovascular/thoracic, transplant, and robotic thoracic surgical cases
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
-
On-call required approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs

Weekends included in call requirements

Floating required within scope of practice to the main OR as needed

Active GA or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular OR nursing experience required

All certifications listed in the position description must be current and copies provided for consideration

Cardiovascular/thoracic experience required; transplant and robotic thoracic experience preferred

RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler

No special scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule

Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
