About the Role
As a Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will serve as a vital technical expert responsible for the health and performance of our specialized pump and support machinery. You will leverage your expertise in diesel engines and electrical diagnostics to ensure our fleet remains operational, directly impacting customer success and project uptime in the field.
Responsibilities-
Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and routine service schedules to maximize the longevity of our rental fleet.

Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and pump systems to minimize operational downtime.

Perform full engine and pump end rebuilds, ensuring all equipment meets rigorous performance standards before returning to service.

Provide expert technical support during on-site equipment installations and system start-ups to guarantee seamless operation for our clients.

Conduct detailed damage assessments and quality assurance testing on all returned equipment to maintain fleet integrity.

Maintain shop support equipment and service vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Utilize advanced diagnostic software and computer-based tools to pinpoint and rectify technical issues.

Support the team through an on-call rotation, providing critical assistance to customers when they need it most.

3-5 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.

Strong mechanical aptitude with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Proficiency in DC electrical circuit testing and component identification.

Solid understanding of industrial safety protocols and best practices.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with clients and internal stakeholders.

Advanced diagnostic capabilities for complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Familiarity with pump station electrical controls and monitoring instrumentation.

Possession of or ability to obtain a Class B CDL.

Self-directed work ethic with the ability to manage tasks independently in field environments.
