Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Experience with food service, POS systems, and hospitality standards is essential to succeed in this role. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and track the guest experience using POS systems such as Toast or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS system
- Address guest inquiries promptly and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast, Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable. Toast experience is a plus!
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items and promote specials effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability is preferred
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles is advantageous
