Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute psychiatric episodes effectively while ensuring client safety.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Facilitate telehealth therapy sessions using secure EMR/EHR systems to expand access to mental health services remotely.
- Provide specialized counseling for issues such as grief, PTSD, and co-occurring disorders with a focus on recovery and resilience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation following clinical ethical guidelines while adhering to CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to improve treatment outcomes and contribute to evidence-based practice initiatives.
Experience
- Masters degree, License, and proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, etc.
- Demonstrated success working with children, adolescents, or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient environments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Experience providing crisis management and crisis intervention services in high-pressure situations.
- Background working with individuals who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of telehealth platforms for delivering remote mental health services effectively while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Strong understanding of social work principles and case management practices within behavioral health settings.
- Prior involvement in clinical research or data collection efforts related to mental health treatments is a plus.
