Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and restoration, coupled with the technical expertise to perform high-quality auto body repairs. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to restore vehicles to their original condition while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs, Aluminum Repair, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks to identify any additional issues that may need addressing.
- Fabricate and assemble parts as needed to ensure proper fit and function.
- Follow safety protocols while working in the shop environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in auto body repair techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive repair or auto body repair is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and the ability to lift heavy parts or equipment safely.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment related to auto body work.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, mechanics, or auto restoration is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
