We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class B CDL Truck Driver to support our construction operations by transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites. This position requires a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and experience operating medium-duty commercial vehicles in a construction setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safety and efficiency both on the road and at construction sites.
- Operate Class B vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, concrete mixers, stake-bed trucks, and service trucks to transport construction materials and supplies.
- Load and unload materials such as aggregate, dirt, asphalt, concrete products, or construction tools, using appropriate equipment or manual labor as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying and reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery tickets, mileage logs, inspection reports, and daily driver records.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Secure loads using tarps, straps, or other approved methods to prevent shifting or spillage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel to coordinate deliveries and site access.
- Assist crews on-site when not driving, including general labor or equipment support as needed.
- Perform minor routine maintenance such as checking fluids, greasing fittings, and keeping vehicles clean and service-ready.
- Valid CDL Class B.
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in construction, aggregates, or concrete delivery.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices and traffic control procedures.
- Familiarity with operating dump beds, pumps, or hydraulic systems.
- Ability to operate or assist with loaders, skid steers, or other support equipment is a plus.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to follow delivery schedules.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections and minor troubleshooting.
- Setting: Outdoor construction sites, highways, and local roads.
- Conditions: Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
- Hazards: High-traffic work zones and active construction areas requiring strict safety awareness and PPE compliance.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Frequent climbing in and out of trucks.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for operating vehicle controls, securing loads, and completing inspections.
Schedule: May include early mornings, extended shifts, overtime, and occasional weekend work depending on project demands and weather conditions.
