This full-time position works closely with a Program Director to support our kindergarten-wrap program in the morning at McKnight Elementary School. In the afternoon, this position leads the day-to-day operation of our afterschool program at Highcliff Elementary. The Site Director plays an important role in implementing curriculum, maintaining licensing and quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer service to families and school partners.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible, accountable and oversees the day-to-day operations of the program at one or more sites. This includes delivery of supervision, program curriculum and good customer service with parents, school administrations and the public. The Site Director provides mentoring and coaching to staff. The Site Director is expected to learn and follow the standards and practices for high quality care and education in this Keystone STARS STAR 4 center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain compliance with all Department of Public Welfare (DHS) licensing requirements and safety standards, including staff to child ratios, at all times.
- Maintain and monitor compliance with the staff training requirements as set by the DHS, Keystone STARS Quality Initiative, and the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.
- Actively collaborate and work with Federal and community agencies and state licensing.
- Assist in the recruiting, screening, training, supervising and evaluating performance of all teachers.
- Use a variety of tools for measuring success of staff performance such as observations, check lists, conversation, workshops, reading materials, resource materials and accomplishment of growth goals.
- Maintain complete and current records for children and staff as needed to assist the Youth
- Development Business Office.
- Develop and maintain strong parent and volunteer relationships to support the everyday operations, special activities, and quality improvement.
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures and manuals for center operations, parents, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- High School Diploma/GED -and-
- Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related field -and-
- 1 year of experience -or-
- Bachelor’s Degree which includes 30 credit hours in ECE or related field -and-
- 2 years of experience working with youth -or-
- Associates Degree in ECE or related field -and-
- 2 years of experience working with youth -or-
- Associates Degree -and-
- 30 credit hours in ECE or related field -and-
- 3 years of experience working with youth -or-
- Associates Degree -and-
- 4 years of experience working with youth -and-
- 1 Year Management/Supervision Experience
