Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Toast, process cash and card transactions efficiently, and handle retail sales transactions seamlessly.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly upon entering, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Assist in food preparation and food handling tasks to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while managing time effectively during busy periods.
- Follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or café environments is highly desirable; barista experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totals.
- Knowledge of beverage service techniques, including drink preparation and presentation.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in food handling environments.
