Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support classroom activities and contribute to creating a positive learning environment for students. This role is essential in assisting instructors with classroom management and providing individualized support to international students during a residential, pre-college educational program.
Duties
- Assist the instructor in implementing lesson plans and curriculum development tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a structured and organized learning environment.
- Work closely with students to ensure their educational goals are met.
- Engage with students to foster their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with instructors in assessing student progress and adapting instructional strategies as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills
Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to connect with and support students and staff effectively
- A commitment to fostering inclusive education practices to support all learners
- Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred
