EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides social work services to adults receiving treatment at Torrance State Hospital. The role supports assessment, counseling, planning, and coordination across patient care settings. As a Social Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

Clinical Interviews: Conduct interviews with individuals, families, and agencies to collect and update important social and personal information

Assessment Work: Evaluate psychosocial strengths, needs, and eligibility for services

Care Planning: Help develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals

Case Management: Maintain records, document progress, and coordinate needed services and benefits

Discharge Planning: Prepare transition plans and coordinate with staff, families, and community providers

Active Treatment: Facilitate treatment programming and document participation and progress

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
