Children's Center Day Care is searching for a Lead Teacher as a Substitute/Floater. The substitute/floater position will fill in when teachers are absent or as an extra teacher in a classroom when needed.
Preferably candidates should be DCFS Lead Teacher qualified. This is having 60 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with six hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development or one year of child care experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and thirty semester hours of credit with six hours in courses related to child care and/or child development. Completion of the credentialing program of the CDA National Credential Award System is also accepted.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate daily activities, significant interaction guiding and seeking conversation with the children throughout the day, following all state licensing regulations, eat with and assist children in development of social and self-help skills, developing mutually trusting relationships with families, provide proper supervision on the playground and indoor gross motor space, attend a minimum of 20 hours per year in Early Childhood trainings, and other duties as assigned.
Pay: $17.25 - $18.50 per hour
