American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and the ability to pass an EKG exam.

Work setting is a 733-bed short-term acute care hospital and Level III Trauma Center with a teaching hospital designation

Assignment is in the ICU
-
Patient ratio is 1:2–3
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Every other weekend required
-
Floating within or between like units may be required to meet facility needs
-
No on-call requirements
-
Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
-
13-week contract length
-
Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Must pass an EKG exam — no exceptions

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
-
First-time travelers are not preferred and are considered only at the manager's discretion based on years of experience

Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white

Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)

Candidates must be away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Extensions are limited to one (1) for this night shift position, after which the candidate must be away for 6 months before returning

RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general guideline of up to 4 days maximum
-
Only one holiday approval can be accommodated per assignment
