Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Hotel Front Desk Officer to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the hospitality industry, delivering memorable experiences for our guests. Previous hotel experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and facilitate efficient check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications with accuracy and professionalism
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to enhance guest experience
- Handle guest enquiries via telephone and in person with exemplary phone etiquette
- Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and billing details
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared to standard
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for effective communication with international guests
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a genuine desire to assist guests
