About the Position
Shine Factory Car Wash is hiring an experienced Multi-Site Car Wash Manager to oversee the daily operations of our two car wash locations. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands car wash operations, can lead and hold teams accountable, and has the technical knowledge needed to maintain and troubleshoot car wash equipment.
Previous car wash management experience is required. This is not an entry-level position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations at multiple Shine Factory locations
- Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and manage location managers and team members
- Maintain high standards for customer service, cleanliness, safety, and wash quality
- Inspect tunnels, equipment rooms, vacuums, pay stations, and property conditions daily
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and chemical-related equipment issues
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and coordinate larger repairs when needed
- Reduce equipment downtime by identifying and resolving problems quickly
- Monitor chemical usage, equipment performance, labor costs, sales, memberships, and operating expenses
- Ensure opening, closing, cash-handling, and safety procedures are followed
- Hold managers and employees accountable for performance and assigned responsibilities
- Manage inventory of chemicals, parts, tools, uniforms, towels, and operating supplies
- Respond to after-hours equipment or operational emergencies when necessary
- Help increase membership sales, customer retention, and overall location profitability
- Provide regular updates to ownership regarding performance, staffing, maintenance, and operational concerns
Required Qualifications
- Previous car wash management experience is required
- Strong knowledge of tunnel car wash equipment and daily operations
- Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting car wash equipment
- Understanding of pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, chemical delivery systems, and water systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple locations, managers, and hourly employees
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with express tunnel car washes
- Experience with ICS car wash management systems
- Familiarity with AVW, Tommy’s, or similar tunnel equipment
- Experience managing preventative maintenance programs
- Strong understanding of membership sales, labor management, and location profitability
