Purpose of Role
The Psychology of Mental Illness: This course surveys the origins, symptoms, and treatment of various forms of mental illness described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Daemen University is seeking a part time instructor for the Fall, 2026 semester to teach one section the Psychology of Mental Illness (a 200 level course) to undergraduate majors, minors, and non-majors. This course surveys the origins, symptoms, and treatment of various forms of mental illness described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Qualifications
Masters' degree required, ABD/Ph.D.preferred. Prior experience teaching undergraduate students required, with either teaching experience in an equivalent course or courses with similar content.
