Veterinary Technician Wanted: Come Practice Veterinary Medicine Somewhere You Can Breathe. NEK Community Animal Hospital | Lyndonville, Vermont
What if your veterinary job could be a place where you’re challenged to grow, trusted to use your skills, and surrounded by people who actually enjoy working together? Well, that’s what we’re building at NEK Community Animal Hospital (NEKCAH).
Founded in 2022 by two local veterinarians, NEKCAH is an independent, community focused small animal hospital in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. We’re growing, and we’re looking for an experienced veterinary technician who wants to be part of something special.
We believe great medicine and great relationships go hand in hand. Every patient matters. Every client deserves kindness and respect. And every member of our team has an important role in creating the kind of veterinary experience we want for our community.
WHAT WOULD YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE? That depends a little on you. We want our technicians to think, learn, contribute, and grow, not simply move from task to task. You’ll have the opportunity to put your experience to work caring for hospitalized patients, supporting anesthesia and surgery, assisting with dentistry, collecting and processing laboratory samples, monitoring patients, educating clients, and helping our doctors deliver excellent medical care.
We have the equipment and caseload to keep things interesting.
If there’s something you don’t know yet? We’ll teach you.
If there’s something you’re excited to learn? We want to know about it.
If you have an idea that could make our patients, clients, or team better? Speak up.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
The right person for NEKCAH takes pride in their work and understands that veterinary medicine is a team sport.
You’re dependable. You notice the little things. You care about doing things well. You can laugh with your coworkers, stay calm when the day gets busy, and treat every patient like they matter, because they do.
You don't have to know everything, but you do need to be curious.
You should enjoy learning new skills, working collaboratively, connecting with clients, and being part of a hospital where everyone contributes to the culture.
And yes, we’d love someone with solid veterinary technician experience who is comfortable with things like venipuncture, patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring and recovery, dental radiology, laboratory work, medical math, and routine pharmaceuticals.
Certification is preferred, but the person matters more to us than the letters after your name.
HAVE YOU SEEN THE NORTHEAST KINGDOM?!
If you already know the NEK, you know why people fall in love with it. If you don’t, you should probably come see for yourself!
Mountain biking. Hiking. Kayaking. Skiing. Snowboarding. Quiet roads. Big mountains. Small communities. And plenty of space to breathe.
Lyndonville gives you the opportunity to build a meaningful career without giving up the lifestyle that makes Vermont so special.
