Waters Edge Health & Rehab is seeking a dependable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Transportation Driver / Central Supply Clerk. This dual-role position is responsible for safely transporting residents and supporting facility operations through efficient supply management. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and committed to providing excellent service to residents, families, and staff.
Position- Monday- Friday (This position is apart of Manager on Duty rotation- More information during interview)
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Duties include but are not limited to:
Compassion for an ageing population
Provide safe, timely transportation for residents, staff to and from scheduled appointments and activities
Coordinate transportation needs with appropriate staff
Assist residents in and out of vehicles using proper safety procedures
Follow all traffic laws and drive in a safe, courteous manner
Obtain appropriate documentation prior to leaving the facility
Ensure residents are appropriately dressed and prepared for outings
Adhere to Resident Rights and all facility safety protocols
Inspect vehicles regularly (gas, oil, tires, lights, brakes, etc.) to ensure safe operation
Monitor and report mechanical issues promptly
Comply with all local, state, and federal healthcare and safety regulations
Central Supply Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain accurate inventory of supplies across central supply and nursing units
Collect, fill, and deliver supply requisitions to appropriate departments
Order supplies from approved vendors
Receive shipments and distribute packing slips to department heads
Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained
Track and update inventory records accurately
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
CPR Certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to safely operate facility vehicles
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, push, and assist residents as needed
Previous healthcare or long-term care experience preferred, but not required
Work Environment & Expectations
Must maintain professionalism in appearance and behavior at all times
Must follow all safety protocols and infection control standards
Ability to multitask and transition between transportation and supply duties
