Job Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Utility Integration Business Applications team. In this role, you will lead and support the planning, analysis, and execution of business system integration activities associated with utility acquisitions and integration projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with utility stakeholders, business teams, and technical resources to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, support system migrations, and ensure business needs are effectively translated into functional solutions. This position plays a critical role in representing the business throughout the integration lifecycle, ensuring impacts are understood, stakeholder voices are heard, and solutions align with operational objectives.

Additionally, you will support testing, training, business readiness activities, and go-live execution to help ensure a seamless transition and successful adoption of integrated systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with utility partners and internal business application teams to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business requirements.

Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder discussions to identify business needs and process improvements.

Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.

Work closely with technical teams to develop functional designs and solutions that align with business objectives.

Ensure business impacts are clearly understood and considered throughout all phases of the integration project.

Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams.

Build strong relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making.

Advocate for business needs and ensure stakeholder perspectives are represented during project planning and execution.

Facilitate communication across project workstreams and support issue resolution when business clarification is required.

Partner with functional and technical teams to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.

Create detailed test cases and test scripts for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Coordinate and execute testing activities, ensuring delivered solutions meet documented business requirements.

Track, document, and support the resolution of defects and testing issues.

Support the development of training materials, user guides, and process documentation for new system functionalities.

Assist in business readiness planning, change management activities, and impact assessments.

Coordinate stakeholder engagement and readiness activities leading up to implementation.

Provide support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases to ensure a smooth transition and rapid issue resolution.

Assist with business process execution, including payment and refund processing activities where required.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis; or

7+ years of relevant field or operations experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and manage change in complex business environments.

Preferred:

CBAP Certification or other formally recognized education in the field of business analysis can be considered as an asset.

Experience supporting systems and processes related to Operations and Engineering.

Working knowledge of Oracle applications and technologies.

Experience with accounting, billing, financial systems, or financial processes.

Previous experience supporting large-scale system integration, migration, or transformation projects.

Knowledge of utility industry operations and business processes is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based work environment.
-
Work may involve periods of elevated pressure due to the high visibility and strategic importance of integration initiatives.

Approximately 15–20% travel may be required, primarily during testing, training, implementation, and go-live phases.
