Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Equipment Assembler/Warehouse Person to join our aftermarket parts warehouse team in Blair, NE.
Applicants must have a clean criminal record and a valid driver's license.
In this role you will perform Final Set up/assembly, Testing and Quality inspection of grain handling equipment and other farm implements such as Grain Augers, Bale Carriers, Rotary Cutters, Rakes, Mowers, Snow Blowers etc. from the pre-made components. Pack, load and ship out wholegoods to the dealer network according to the shipping instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with the safety policies and company regulations
- Assemble augers and other farm implements according to the set up schedule
- Meet standards times for each assembly operations
- Use your mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may occur with electrical, hydraulics or mechanical parts of the set up
- Create and fill required shipping documentation
- Utilize various power and hand tools for assembly
- Ability to set and use torque wrench
- Use overhead lifting equipment
- Operate fork-lift (indoor/outdoor)
- Use tractor, power pack to test assembled equipment
- Yard maintenance (lawn mowing, snow removal)
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proven mechanical aptitude/experience
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Welding experience is an asset
- PC knowledge, Excel, AS400 user
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as overhead crane, fork-lifts, tractors, power and hand tools etc
- Must be reliable and have excellent attendance at work
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Take direction well and have good common sense
- Some computer knowledge
- Great team player; willingness to assist others
- Physical strength is required for manual warehouse personnel who work with heavy materials
- Previous experience in production/warehouse environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a criminal check
Working Conditions:
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Busy work environment
- Warehouse environment, which can be hot and cold
- Work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Work indoors and outdoors
