Responsible for operating a lift truck, transferring loaded pallets to and from storage areas, production lines, cars, and trucks.

Operates a lift truck, transferring pallets to and from storage areas, production lines, cars, and trucks.

Selects orders to be transferred according to work order.

Checks the lift truck daily to ensure they are properly maintained – i.e., gas, electrical charge, oil, water, etc.

Reports any mechanical and/or safety issues to the Supervisor or Lead immediately.

Must have basic knowledge of math – i.e., ability to count.

Adheres to common safety practices and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.

Adheres to the Company’s hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.

Keeps area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.

Responsible for physically lifting up to 80 pounds as required.

Should not leave work area unless given permission by Supervisor and/or Lead.

Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Leadperson.
