Overview
Wandering Soul Services is seeking a dependable and hardworking Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. This position focuses on assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
- Help troubleshoot common irrigation issues such as leaks, broken sprinkler heads, and minor valve problems.
- Support programming and basic adjustments of irrigation timers and controllers.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to install pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, and fittings.
- Assist with trenching, pipe layout, and system component installation.
- Perform seasonal services including system start-ups and winterization
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment for daily jobs.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Communicate professionally with team members and clients when on-site.
- Complete documentation of work performed.
- Assist with landscape irrigation projects that incorporate sustainable watering practices and horticultural principles.
Experience and Skills
- 1-2 years of experience preferred in irrigation, landscaping, or related outdoor work, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn irrigation systems and water management practices.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical labor.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Education / Certification Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of landscape irrigation experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
