Designer Showroom Customer Service & Builder of Relationships
Contract Furnishings Mart is the 6th largest flooring company in the United States. We have an impressive 45-year family-owned history of servicing the trade professionals with their hard surfaces, carpet, tile, stone, countertops, hardwood and cabinet needs since 1981. In our 20 beautiful showrooms, with our 21st opening in October 2026 in Bremerton, WA, we help educate and solve their remodeling/building needs for all surfaces. We build relationships with our customers by first building a relationship with you.
A Customer Service Associate is responsible for meeting with our trade professionals and their customers in our showroom to determine their design/project needs now while ensuring customers for life. Our team is on salary so there is no need to fight for commissions. Our CFM culture cultivates an outstanding team environment working together to give our customers an amazing CFM experience. We provide our team with a year-end bonus which grows with you as you grow with us.

We're looking for someone who brings a ray of sunshine and positivity and takes pride in helping clients solve their home remodeling project needs, from start to finish. Your daily motivation is to create and maintain trusting and long-lasting relationships that keep customers coming back year after year.
What you'll do:
- Sell flooring, tile/stone, countertops and cabinets and their coordinating maintenance and installation products
- Greet customers on the sales floor, listen to their wants and needs and educate them on the best solution
- Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of products we offer, along with the pros and cons of each product to help our customers make informed decisions
- Be part of a greater team and work together to ensure customer satisfaction
- Build relationships with customers and client base to earn their trust
- Place orders with suppliers and manufacturers
- Maintain organization, cleanliness and general aesthetic in the showroom in a professional manner
What you'll bring:

- Background in design, construction, showroom and/or education in interior design
- Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal

- Flexible attitude, team oriented, highly personable and positive attitude
- Proficient in basic math skills
- Computer skills and the ability to type with accuracy
- Ability to lift 10-25 pounds to replace samples of products back into place
- Ability to be on your feet standing for periods of time
