Sugarista (Licensed Esthetician) Job Summary

As a Sugarista, you will specialize in organic sugaring hair removal while providing exceptional guest experiences through personalized consultations, professional skincare services, and product recommendations. You will play an important role in creating a clean, welcoming environment while helping clients achieve their skincare and hair removal goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform full-body sugaring hair removal services for both women and men, including Brazilian services, following Sugaring NYC standards.
- Provide additional esthetic services including:
- Brow Lamination
- Brow Tint
- Lash Lift
- Lash Tint
- Vajacials
- Back Facials
- Express Facials
- Facial Treatments (where offered)
- Conduct thorough client consultations and recommend appropriate services based on skin type, concerns, and goals.
- Educate clients on proper pre-care and aftercare instructions to maximize results.
- Recommend retail products, memberships, packages, and service upgrades to support client results and business goals.
- Build strong client relationships that encourage repeat visits, referrals, and long-term loyalty.
- Maintain accurate client notes and service records using Zenoti or other salon management software.
- Keep treatment rooms fully stocked, sanitized, and presentation-ready throughout each shift.
- Follow all sanitation, infection control, and state licensing regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the front desk and management team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Stay current on new services, products, promotions, and company initiatives through ongoing education and training.
- Meet individual performance goals for retail sales, memberships, rebooking, and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Current Texas Esthetician or Cosmetology License required.
- Previous waxing or sugaring experience preferred (training available for the right candidate).
- Strong passion for skincare, beauty, and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable educating clients and recommending retail products and memberships.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Zenoti or similar salon software.
- Experience with lash lifts, brow laminations, facials, or other esthetic services.
- Retail sales experience with the ability to meet performance goals.
- Previous experience in a spa or salon environment.
