Position Title: Education Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Operations
Scope: Part-time, Hourly Seasonal (29 hours a week August through May)

Position Summary
The Education Coordinator provides essential support to the Education Team by coordinating and delivering JA Learning Experiences across the Fort Worth area. This role is responsible for program logistics, kit preparation and delivery, volunteer support, and high-quality customer service for educators, volunteers, and stakeholders. The Education Coordinator ensures program readiness, maintains accurate records, and supports the successful implementation of JA curriculum for K–12 students.
The Education Team operates collaboratively, and all staff members support one another to ensure high-quality program delivery and positive stakeholder experiences. While the Education Coordinator’s primary responsibilities fall within the Education Department, the role may be assigned additional administrative or cross-department tasks as needed to support organizational operations. Flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to assist with duties outside the core scope of work are essential to the success of this position.
This position requires cross-training across all JA programs and in-school learning experiences to ensure flexible coverage and consistent program delivery. Mileage for approved travel is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
The Education Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations and receives daily workflow direction from the Senior Education Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Delivery
- Execute processes and procedures to facilitate JA curriculum delivery with a strong focus on customer service for educators, volunteers, and stakeholders.
- Deliver JA Learning Experiences in classrooms and support volunteers during program implementation.
- Assist with scheduling, classroom placements, and communication with schools.
- Prepare, load, unload, transport, and deliver program kits and materials to schools and partner sites.
- Maintain program quality through accurate and timely communication with educators and volunteers.
- Follow workflow direction from the Senior Education Manager to ensure program delivery and team alignment.
- Participate in cross-training across all areas of education to ensure flexible coverage and consistent implementation.
Volunteer & Educator Support
- Provide virtual and in-person training and orientation for educators and volunteers as assigned.
- Support volunteer logistics, including classroom placement, day-of coordination, and troubleshooting.
- Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer communication and stewardship activities when needed.
Event & Project Support
- Assist the education team in planning and executing JA programs, special projects, and events.
- Support event preparation, logistics, volunteer coordination, and follow-up activities. Ensure materials and resources are available, organized, and distributed as needed.
Data Management & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate program, volunteer, and participation records in accordance with organizational standards.
- Perform data entry, reporting, and metric tracking to support program evaluation.
- Correspond with educators and volunteers to verify program completion and ensure positive user experiences.
- Assist with ordering, creating, or preparing materials for events or programs.
- Support social media content scheduling related to program and event highlights.
Team & Cross-Department Support
- Support the Education Team and broader organization by completing administrative or cross-department tasks as assigned. This may include assisting other departments during peak periods, special events, or organizational initiatives.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by assisting colleagues and supporting organizational needs beyond the Education Department when requested by the Director of Operations.
Miscellaneous
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student, volunteer, donor, personnel, and organizational information.
- Follow established organizational policies and procedures.
- Represent Junior Achievement professionally within the community.
- Maintain professional, timely, and accurate communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends to support programs, volunteer activities, fundraising events, and organizational initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the organization's mission.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma required; some college or relevant coursework preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service orientation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments, think ahead, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, database platforms, and digital tools.
- Ability to effectively present to audiences and train as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive demeanor fostering a supportive work environment.
- Proactive approach to tasks and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with a team.
Preferred:
- Experience with program management, project coordination, event coordination, or volunteer recruitment.
- Experience working with school districts, educational programs, or nonprofit organizations.
- Experience utilizing database or program management systems.
- Experience with data collection, reporting, and program evaluation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying 25-50 pounds.
- Ability to travel locally throughout the Fort Worth area.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required for programs, volunteer activities, and organizational events.
- Flexibility to work early mornings on occasion to accommodate school schedule.
- Reliable transportation is required for travel to schools, meetings, and events. Mileage for approved travel is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.

This position is subject to the successful completion of a background check and requires a valid driver’s license.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
