Equipment Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)
We are a growing company seeking a reliable, self-motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician to take ownership of equipment maintenance, yard operations, and inventory management. This role is hands-on and essential to keeping our operations running efficiently and safely.
Job Responsibilities
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, blade sharpening, belt and blade adjustments, greasing fittings, and tire repair or replacement.
- Maintain company vehicles, including oil changes, fluid top-offs, tire rotations, brake replacement, greasing fittings, and coordinating or completing state inspections.
- Install, remove, connect, and load snow plows and salt spreaders as needed.
Yard & Inventory Management
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the yard and shop areas.
- Load and unload equipment, materials, mulch, and stone onto company and customer trucks and trailers.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate inventory logs of materials and equipment.
- Purchase parts, supplies, and materials to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
Additional Duties & Expectations
- Take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support daily operations.
- Help load customer vehicles as needed.
- Willing to work longer hours to ensure that all snow equipment is ready before events and keep equipment operational during snow events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, push, pull, and work in tight spaces while servicing equipment.
- Ability to lift and load materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and prior hands-on maintenance experience required.
- Able to troubleshoot and work through problems
- Possitive attitude and willingness to learn new things.
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Hardworking, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
- Valid U.S. driver license with a clean driving record.
- Willing and able to pass a background check and drug test
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
