Network Engineer
Clearance: US Citizenship required.
Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (VA/DC/MD) — Onsite/Hybrid per program requirements. Candidates must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the DC metro area prior to start.
Salary: $110,000–$180,000 — Commensurate with experience
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure supporting classified and unclassified enclaves.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and availability, resolving incidents to minimize downtime.
- Support network security hardening in accordance with DoD/IC security requirements.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with systems and security engineers on network integration efforts.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as required by the program.
- Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise or mission network environments.
- Working knowledge of routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPNs, and network security principles.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Experience supporting missions for DoW, DHS, FBI, or another national security agency.
- DoD 8140/8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+) or ability to obtain within a defined period.
- Willingness to work onsite in the DC metro area as required.
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent vendor certification.
- Experience with multi-level security (MLS) or cross-domain network environments.
- Experience supporting classified network enclaves (e.g., SIPRNet, JWICS, or equivalent).
Education and Work Experience
3–15 years of relevant experience, with placement (Mid, Senior, or Lead) commensurate with demonstrated experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
