Duties and Responsibilities (Essential):
- Repairs diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and related components.
- Repairs and installs electrical systems and components.
- Interprets blueprints and sketches.
- Maintains logbooks, maintenance records, and historical data.
- Determines parts and supply requirements.
- Assists the master with vessel operations, including standing helmsman watch, and assisting with terrestrial and electronic navigation.

- Assists with passenger safety, embarkation, and disembarkation as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Work is performed on floating vessels.
- Must possess a U.S. Army Marine License of not less than a Class B Vessel License (AR 56-9) or a U.S. Coast Guard Equivalent Engineering Officers License; or have demonstrated marine engineering capabilities of over three years hands-on experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the operation, inspection, repair, and overhaul of various marine machinery and systems.
- Must be physically capable of performing all aspects of arduous mechanical work.
- Frequently lift and carry materials, components, and equipment weighing up to forty (40) pounds.
- Occasionally lift and carry components and parts weighing over one hundred (100) pounds with assistance.
- Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This is a Drug Testing Designated Position.
