Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold health standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas throughout each shift
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or portioning under supervision
- Support the catering team by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for events or banquet functions
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety compliance
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to organize dishware and maintain inventory levels of clean items
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary operations
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning tools is a plus but not mandatory
