Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience . We transport 48' flatbeds carrying rebar to various construction sites in South Florida and the Tampa area. Candidate must be reliable, safe, and have a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Connect and disconnect with flatbed trailers and ensure proper handling and securing of materials.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all federal and state transportation laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), medical card, and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with flatbed experience.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Strong understanding of load unloading procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent route driving skills with the ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) when necessary.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
