AgeWise Therapy | Lincoln, NE & Surrounding Communities
Help Older Adults Stay in the Homes They Love
At AgeWise Therapy, we believe therapy is about far more than exercises and paperwork.
Our mission is to help older adults remain safe, independent, and confident in the homes they love while giving families peace of mind through practical solutions, education, and compassionate care.
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who loves working with older adults, values meaningful relationships, and enjoys the freedom to think creatively. This is not a clinic where every treatment looks the same. Every home, every person, and every family is different—and that's what makes this work so rewarding.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one occupational therapy in patients' homes and independent or assisted living communities.
- Evaluate balance, mobility, ADLs, cognition, home safety, and fall risk.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on aging safely in place.
- Educate and support caregivers and family members.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians, community partners, and families.
- Think outside the box to solve real-life challenges in the environments where people actually live.
The Ideal Therapist
You might be a great fit if you:
- Genuinely enjoy working with older adults and their families.
- Believe relationships are just as important as treatment plans.
- Value autonomy and flexibility.
- Are creative and resourceful.
- Enjoy problem-solving in real-world environments.
- Communicate confidently with families and referral sources.
- Are organized and comfortable managing your own schedule.
- Want to be part of a practice that is growing with purpose—not simply growing bigger.
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska Occupational Therapist license (or eligible).
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR certification.
- Medicare documentation experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience in geriatrics, home health, outpatient, skilled nursing, or neurological rehabilitation is preferred.
Position Details
- PRN or Part-Time to start.
- Strong potential for growth into a larger role as the practice continues to expand if desired.
- Flexible scheduling.
Why AgeWise?
We're building a team that believes every older adult deserves the opportunity to age with dignity, independence, and confidence.
If you're looking for a fast-paced productivity-driven environment, this probably isn't the right fit.
But if you want the autonomy to practice occupational therapy the way it was meant to be practiced—taking the time to truly know your patients, partnering with families, and making a lasting impact—we'd love to hear from you.
Whether you're looking for a flexible PRN opportunity, a meaningful part-time role, or a place to grow long-term, we'd love to connect.
