Ogyu Japanese BBQ is Now hiring a FOH Manager!
Ogyu, is a new Japanese Yakiniku concept under the umbrella of O Restaurant Group. We're looking for ambitious and motivated individuals to join our growing team. With a can-do attitude, as the FOH Manager for Ogyu Japanese BBQ, the manager works hand in hand with the Assistant Managers to set the example for all servers, bartenders, food runners, bussers and hosts to follow. Manager with a firm understanding of FOH operations, payroll, scheduling, opening procedures and closing procedures, inventory, etc.
This person takes the role of a mentor and coach and is responsible for helping ensure the proper development of the team by partnering with Assistant Managers to ensure staff is properly greeting guests, introducing/recommending menu items and frequent table touches and keeping a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all aspects of restaurant FOH operations, including service delivery, and staff management.
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards.
- Helps to ensure appropriate staffing plan and maintains adequate staffing and scheduling levels.
- Hiring and training FOH staffs
- Assists with orientation and training of new employees.
- Ensures accurate and timely submission of the employee time and attendance for payroll processing.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a full service restaurant environment with a focus on food service management.
- Extensive background in supervising teams within casual dining or fine dining settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Chowbus is highly preferred.
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within the food industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in staff training & development, interviewing, and shift management.
- Prior hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required; a background in culinary arts or food production is a plus.
