Come join our team, an established and growing company with great benefits! We are seeking a motivated individual with strong communication and relationship-building skills to fill our Power Generation Sales Representative role covering Western Virginia and West Virginia.
At Bay Power Solutions, we support and sell Generator Sets for Industrial Power needs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, serving hospitals, educational facilities, municipalities, industrial facilities, military installations, data centers, and more.
This position requires extensive customer interaction, territory travel, and the ability to develop long-term customer relationships while identifying opportunities for power generation solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Service, and Sales personnel to develop and execute sales opportunities throughout the territory. This territory offers significant opportunity for growth through both existing customer relationships and new business development.
DUTIES
- Develop new customer relationships throughout Western Virginia and West Virginia
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts
- Conduct in-person customer visits and facility walk-throughs
- Identify generator, switchgear, controls, and service opportunities
- Develop relationships with Engineering Firms, Electrical Contractors, End Users, and Facility Managers
- Coordinate project opportunities with Engineering personnel
- Attend customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
- Assist customers in developing emergency power and standby power solutions
- Track and manage sales opportunities through CRM system
- Develop and maintain annual territory growth plans
- Participate in professional development seminars and manufacturer training programs
- Conduct project startup visits and customer follow-up visits as needed
- Work closely with Project Management and Service Departments during project execution
- Interpret Electrical Specifications and develop Estimates for equipment proposals
GREAT CANDIDATES WILL HAVE…
- 2+ Years of Technical Sales, Industrial Sales, Preferred Electrical Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Related Field Preferred
- Experience in Power Generation, or Electrical Distribution
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
- Self-motivated and capable of managing a large territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM Software
- Ability to travel throughout Western Virginia and West Virginia
- Valid Driver's License
