This position shall assist in the operation of the facility. This includes conversions, mechanical equipment, facility maintenance, ice making, ice preparation and maintenance, efficient use of staff, safety compliance, as well as the items listed below.
1. Understand and comply with all established safe practices procedures, including OSHA regulations.
2. Wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times.
3. Obtain and keep current all licenses and certifications to operate and oversee equipment.
4. Wear nametag, adhere to dress code, and abide by code of conduct as set forth in employee handbook and as dictated by management.
5. Able to regularly lift 40 pounds, kneel, stoop, climb ladders.
6. Responsible for keeping all areas and equipment in safe and clean condition, including back of house.
7. Responsible for event set up and conversion.
8. Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and delivery vehicles as needed
9. Maintain and organize supply and storage rooms
10. Perform exterior grounds clean up and maintenance.
11. Interact professionally with customers and promptly to address their concerns, whether directly or by bringing it to the attention of another employee that can directly assist
12. Interact professionally with customers, promoters, contracted labor, and event staff.
13. Responsible for all setup and teardown of event spaces within Mountain America Center, including placing/removing flooring, stages tables, chairs, and other fixtures.
14. Complete all conversions in a timely manner to ensure a smooth transition between scheduled events.
15. Availability to work overnights, weekends and potential holidays dictated by event scheduling.
16. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
After opening in November 2022, the Mountain America Center is Eastern Idaho’s gateway for live entertainment! This community gem provides 27,000 square feet of event space within the arena space, along with an additional 11,000 square feet of meeting space in the Blue Cross of Idaho Conference Center. The Mountain America Center hosts the Idaho Falls Spud Kings, the NCDC 2024-25 Dineen Cup National Championship winning junior level ice hockey franchise and hosts a multitude of unique events with the ability to seat 6,000 guests. Our venue welcomes hundreds of thousands of guests through our doors each year, and our dedicated staff strives to -provide all guests with a unique and unforgettable experience with each visit.
