We are seeking a compassionate, licensed clinician with experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, thought disorders, mood disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. This position provides direct clinical services while serving as a clinical leader through supervision, consultation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based care that promotes recovery, stability, and successful community reintegration.
Mental Health Clinician Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based interventions focused on mental health recovery, substance use treatment, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and life skills development.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial intake assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations to identify client needs, strengths, risks, and treatment priorities.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development to pre-licensed and unlicensed behavioral health staff, including serving as the designated rendering provider through review, approval, and signing of clinical documentation, ensuring medical necessity, documentation quality, and compliance with agency, payer, state, and ethical standards.
- Coordinate and monitor client care across medical, psychiatric, case management, housing, legal, and community support systems to promote continuity of care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR), including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with family members, guardians, referral sources, probation officers, and other community partners, as clinically appropriate, to support positive treatment outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case consultations, utilization reviews, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and de-escalation services as needed.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a culture of clinical excellence throughout the program.
Mental Health Clinician Qualifications:
- Must possess and maintain an active, unrestricted Colorado independent behavioral health license in good standing.
- Current enrollment as a Colorado Medicaid rendering provider and credentialing with applicable Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs) is strongly preferred. Candidates who are not currently credentialed must be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain credentialing upon hire.
- Current individual professional liability insurance, or the ability to obtain and maintain coverage upon hire, is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health experience, preferably within residential treatment, competency restoration, community mental health, or co-occurring treatment settings.
- Previous experience providing clinical supervision to pre-licensed clinicians or behavioral health staff is preferred, but not required.
- Experience working with dual diagnosed individuals is strongly preferred.
- Experience utilizing an EMR/EHR system.
- Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Commitment to trauma-informed care, client-centered treatment, ethical practice, and maintaining client confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
