Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes or concerns
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia through engaging activities and attentive supervision
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers to prevent injury
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in accordance with healthcare protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning client spaces to promote a safe and healthy environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive atmosphere for residents or clients receiving home & community care
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Hands-on experience with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care experience are a plus
- Familiarity with care tools like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids enhances your ability to deliver safe patient support
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during transfers or repositioning tasks
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with patients, families, healthcare teams, and social workers

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
