Our family-owned funeral home in Bremerton, Puyallup, and Tacoma is seeking an addition to our team. We are currently looking for a Licensed Funeral Director to assist with all aspects of funeral services (planning, arranging and directing). At present, we are serving over 1,400 families per year. We are a full-service funeral home with three locations, offering cremation, burial, and natural organic reduction options. Our focus is on the families we serve. We tailor each arrangement to the family's personal needs.
This is a full-time position 8:30-5 Monday-Friday. As death is untimely, this position will require working some nights as well as the occasional weekend. On-call shifts are limited, but may be needed on occassion.

Responsibilities and Duties
Duties will include:
- Meeting with families to discuss and arrange funeral or memorial services for their loved one
- Discuss pricing and packages, as well as receiving payments
- Contact cemetery officials and arrange burials at local cemeteries
- Ensure religious and ethnic customs of decedent are fulfilled and/or respected
- Manage case files, complete paperwork
- Removals (bringing decedents into our care) during office hours as well as some nights and some weekends
- Dispatch first call personnel
- Answer phones as needed after hours
- Working Funerals, Memorials, and Burials as needed during office hours as well as nights and weekends
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications for this position are:
- WA State Funeral Director License
- PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE
- Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong ability to evaluate and appropriately address privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
- Comfortable communicating over the phone and in person
