Location:
Remote or Alpharetta, GA
Job Type:
Full-time
Who We Are:
GovSense builds and implements ERP software on the Oracle NetSuite platform for local governments, state agencies, special districts, and tribal communities. Our customers run essential public services, and our software helps them do it better.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Financial Consultant to join our team and take ownership of a dynamic portfolio of client engagements. This is a high-impact role: you’ll step into an active book of business with projects already underway and new engagements on the horizon, giving you immediate visibility and the opportunity to make your mark from day one.
If you’re energized by building trusted financial advisory relationships, diving into complex implementations, and helping public-sector organizations get the most out of NetSuite — we’d like to talk.
What You’ll Own:
- Active client engagements. You’ll manage a portfolio of concurrent financial consulting projects at varying stages of deployment — keeping deliverables on track, clients informed, and issues resolved.
- Financial analysis and reporting. Lead client-facing financial analysis, modeling, and reporting. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for varied audiences.
- NetSuite delivery. Work directly in NetSuite — financial reporting, reconciliations, configuration, and implementation support. You’ll be hands-on, not hands-off.
- Client relationships. Serve as a trusted financial advisor. Build relationships quickly, hold clients accountable when commitments slip, and represent GovSense with professionalism at every level of an organization.
- AI-enabled delivery. You’ll actively leverage AI tools to accelerate your work — financial documentation, reporting, client communication, and analysis. We expect our consultants to identify where AI creates leverage and build it into how they deliver, not treat it as optional.
- Pipeline readiness. Scope and onboard new engagements as they come online. You’ll be involved from kickoff through close.
What Success Looks Like:
- First 30 days: You’ve gotten up to speed on the active portfolio, established rapport with key clients, and identified where your attention is most needed.
- First 90 days: Active projects are progressing on schedule, client relationships are strong, and you have a clear handle on the pipeline coming your way.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in financial consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, or a related advisory capacity
- Hands-on NetSuite experience — please specify the modules and depth of your experience in your application
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements without dropping quality or deadlines
- Strong financial modeling, analysis, and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills — you can run a working session with a finance clerk and a steering committee with a City Manager in the same day
- Comfort stepping into ambiguity and getting up to speed quickly on projects already in motion
Nice To Have, But We’ll Train:
- Public-sector experience — local government, state agencies, special districts, or tribal nations, including familiarity with public-sector budgeting, reporting, or compliance requirements
- Non-profit experience — fund accounting, grant reporting, or non-profit financial operations
*Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis*
How to Apply: Send resume and a brief note on your NetSuite experience to [email protected]. US work authorization required. GovSense is an equal opportunity employer (M/F/D/V).
- Given the urgency of this opening, candidates who can begin shortly will be prioritized.
