Maintenance Technician – Professional Real Estate Services

Position Description: This position is with Professional Real Estate Services and is responsible for assisting with building operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs of multifamily buildings, mechanical systems, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties.
Qualifications:

- High School Diploma
- 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record with periodic checks and a vehicle in good working condition.
- Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, plumbing, electrical, appliances, air conditioners, painting, sheetrock and wall repair, etc.
- Knowledge of energy management systems, techniques, and operations.
- Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair.
- Boilers license preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and resident concerns
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, sheetrock and wall repair and appliance repair
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of building systems and equipment
- Ensure the property’s exterior and interior common areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Assist with apartment turnover tasks including repairs for move-ins/move-outs
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies
- Report any safety hazards, code violations, or property damage to management immediately
- Collaborate with property management and vendors as needed for specialized repairs or larger projects
- Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and fair housing regulations
- This position will rove from property to property or be on call
- Recommend improvements for preventive maintenance to management
- Comply with Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours.
