Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Welder / Fabricator / Assembler to join a busy manufacturing team in Rogers, MN. This role involves MIG welding, fabrication, assembly, and general production support within a modern manufacturing environment.
Unlike repetitive production welding positions, this opportunity offers variety in day-to-day responsibilities, including fabricating and welding small-batch component parts and assisting with assembly, crating, and inventory support. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn and grow within a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication
- Perform MIG welding on fabricated steel and sheet metal components
- Fabricate and weld component parts and assemblies in small-batch quantities
- Read and follow production instructions and fabrication requirements
- Use hand and power tools to complete fabrication and assembly tasks
Assembly & Production Support
- Assist with product assembly and packaging operations
- Support crating and shipping preparation of completed products
- Help restock inventory and maintain organized work areas
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
Quality & Safety
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for quality and accuracy
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces throughout the facility
- Use PPE and follow company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 6 months of MIG welding experience
- Sheet metal and steel fabrication skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs independently
- Must provide own welding hood and steel toe boots
Preferred:
- TIG welding experience
- Sit-down or stand-up forklift experience
- Welding school graduate or related trade training
Working Conditions:
- Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and material handling throughout the shift
- Exposure to welding equipment, fabrication tools, and production machinery
- Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and teamwork
