Join our dynamic team as a Saw Mill Cleanup Crew Technician and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment within our manufacturing facility. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for thorough cleaning and sanitation of the saw mill area, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards. Enjoy a four day work week with these hours- 8:00am-6:30pm, Tuesday-Friday
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of saw mill equipment, floors, and work areas using industrial cleaning tools and chemical agents
- Handle chemical substances safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and eye protection
- Conduct sanitation tasks in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure a hygienic environment suitable for food processing or manufacturing operations
- Assist with waste removal, debris clearance, and heavy lifting to maintain a clutter-free workspace
- Follow strict safety protocols during all cleaning activities, including respiratory protection when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety inspections
- Support warehouse or production areas by performing janitorial duties as needed to uphold cleanliness standards
Skills
- Proven experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within sawmill or industrial environments
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling and chemical safety procedures in an industrial setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines
- Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and recording data accurately
- Familiarity with sanitation standards specific to GMP, food safety, and manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence, including PPE use and respiratory protection requirements
- Experience working in warehouse or food processing settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
