NOCAC Head Start Preschool is looking for a caring, energetic, and creative Lead Teacher to join our Hicksville team. If you love watching children learn through play, exploration, and discovery, this is the opportunity for you!
As our Lead Teacher, you'll help create a classroom where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn every day. You'll guide a team of two Teacher Assistants while helping preschoolers build the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten—and in life.

- Conduct classroom activities and teach by example and instruction.
What You'll Do
Working alongside two dedicated Teacher Assistants, you will:
- Create engaging lesson plans using our curriculum while incorporating hands-on activities, field trips, guest speakers, and creative learning experiences.
- Foster children's growth in language, literacy, math, science, social-emotional development, physical development, art, and school readiness.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and organized classroom where children thrive.
- Develop inviting learning centers and rotate materials to keep children engaged.
- Help children build independence through daily routines, healthy habits, and positive behavior guidance.
- Maintain compliance with Head Start and Ohio child care licensing requirements.

Qualifications
- Associate's, Bachelor's, or advanced degree that includes 18 credit hours in Early Childhood Education.
- Preschool teaching experience preferred.
- Valid State issued driver's license and ability to be insured by NOCAC.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work in an active preschool classroom serving children ages 3-5.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks, drug screening, physical examination, and all other employment requirements.
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and serving families from diverse backgrounds.
