As a Drywall Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities through your expertise in mechanical knowledge and maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair in a high-rise residential building, located in northwest Washington, DC.
Reporting to the Master Plumber, you will primarily perform drywall repairs and painting, along with other general repairs, routine inspections, and property upkeep. Your English communication skills and ability to read schematics will support clear communication and accurate understanding of technical documents. Experience in drywall and finishing, plumbing and electrical work, along with carpentry and customer service skills, will help improve the property’s functionality and safety. Ideal candidate will possess five years’ hands-on general maintenance experience with a property management company or multi-family housing property. There is an emphasis on in-unit repairs, plumbing, snaking drain lines, electric and drywall repairs. Attention to detail and a willingness to learn are important skills; carpentry, painting, mechanical and computer skills are a plus.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Must be able to work on call rotation and have reliable personal transportation. Candidates must have a positive attitude and be willing to work as part of a team. Must pass criminal background and employment reference checks. Please note this is a non-smoking building and this is not a live in position.
