Summary
We’re seeking an experienced HVAC Service-Installer to join our team! This role involves installing, assembling, and commissioning commercial HVAC systems while also assisting with service calls, troubleshooting, and repairs. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and commission commercial HVAC/R systems in accordance with company standards, industry best practices, and local codes.
- Perform HVAC service work as needed, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing system issues to support customers beyond installation.
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial-grade heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems incorporating a variety of control types.
- Fabricate, install, and seal sheet metal ducting systems with precision and efficiency.
- Install, braze, and pressure test refrigeration copper lines, ensuring leak-free, durable connections.
- Properly insulate ductwork, piping, and equipment to maintain energy efficiency, safety, and code compliance.
- Test electrical circuits, components, and controls to verify functionality, safety, and performance.
- Perform pressure and leak tests on pipe and tubing joints and connections to ensure system integrity.
- Support HVAC construction projects by installing ductwork, piping, controls, and associated components to meet project specifications.
- Develop and implement modification plans for existing HVAC systems to improve performance or adapt to new requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Foremen, and team members to execute projects efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional technical support and professional customer service during field operations and client interactions.
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and test results; complete service and installation reports in a timely manner.
- Respond to after-hours service calls or emergencies as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC/R technologies, safety standards, and local regulations through ongoing training and development.
- Demonstrate strong time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in both construction and service environments.
- Adhere to company and jobsite safety policies at all times, proactively identifying and reporting hazards.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Installer or similar role (5 years minimum)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical principles.
- Familiarity with construction practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required
