Role Summary: As a Medical Assistant in our practice, you will be a vital part of our day-to-day clinical and surgical operations. You will work directly alongside our podiatrist, ensuring smooth patient flow, managing clinic inventory, and providing crucial assistance in the operating room. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and comfortable guiding patients through their surgical journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Room Assistance: Act as a circulator in the OR, preparing the room, ensuring all necessary instruments are sterile and available, and assisting the doctor during podiatric procedures.
- Patient Education: Clearly and compassionately provide patients with thorough preoperative and postoperative instructions, answering any questions they may have to ensure a smooth recovery.
- Inventory Management: Monitor, organize, and restock medical and surgical supplies. Place orders as needed to ensure the practice and OR are always fully equipped.
- General Clinical Duties: Assist with rooming patients, preparing treatment rooms, and performing other administrative or clinical tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Language: Must be fully Bilingual (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
